My Story

Many of my business services beliefs stem from my deep background in outsourcing, as a provider, advisor, and buyer. I started working at Accenture in the 1990s, before outsourcing was common place. I helped build various outsourcing capabilities and offerings, becoming the Chief Business Architect of the HR outsourcing business. I next led the BPO sourcing practice in Europe for specialist advisors Equaterra, helping many multinationals achieve transformation through effective outsourcing.

As a sourcing industry partner at PA Consulting, I focused on advising organizations setting up and transforming their GBS entities. I led multiple GBS related projects, helping to design and build organisations for an FMCG company, a Pharma company, a transportation company, and a healthcare organisation.

I have most recently spent 11 years at a major pharmaceutical company, working with an incredible team to build a business service organisation that became a market benchmark. Some of my specific experiences have been:

Building fully costed business solutions for sales, marketing, medical, compliance, and legal processes
Building and managing many of the cross-domain GBS capabilities, such as process excellence, PMO and change management
Building and running a major internal consulting organisation, working across the enterprise on all of the major strategic programs
Driving a sustainable and high performing 21st century management culture.

I am interested in techniques and strategies for making GBS organizations truly successful. Through ATB4 I work with organizations to support GBS leaders directly, coach their teams, and take on ad interim roles. I also link up with many of my trusted colleagues to deliver more complex programs.
